Let me introduce myself

Welcome and thank you for being here. I’m Claire Bamford and I am very, very excited about getting my first book out into the wild. I’ve decided to start my very first blog. I initially thought this would be another way to connect with book type folks, promote my book at the same time. But I’m now thinking it’s going to become a record of my journey as an author too, isn’t it? I wonder what it will feel like reading this all back in twelve months’ time! So what can you expect to hear from me?

Books I’ve been reading/buying

I don’t get to read as often as I would like but when I do, I’ll share with you. My buying of books exceeds my reading of books so you may see more of that! Please get involved in the comments if there’s a book a mention that you love or were a bit marmite with.

Some random useful info

I am a problem solver so if I feel I’ve found something super useful, at least one other person will too. So I will share any hot tips I come across in life.

Fan girling

There will be fan-girling in this newsletter. Guaranteed. I get very excited about certain tv shows, films and books (some of my friends can attest to this) so I will be expressing that excitement with you all too! Please feel free to join in.

The Messenger

Over the coming months I’ll explain more about why this book, what it was borne out of, why I chose the publishing route that I did. Reading about other author experiences has really helped me. So hopefully a teensy bit of my experience can help someone else. It’s about supporting each other.
